The least expensive and simplest device for producing heavy weight bundles is the riding stripper. These are mounted on the finishing block of the wire drawing machines and will carry anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 lbs. of wire depending upon size of wire and block diameter. When the Wire Strippers is full, it is removed from the Wire Drawing Machines and collapsed over the center of a wire carrier on to which the wire drops. The Stripper is then reinserted into the finishing block and the cycle repeated. Figure illustrates such a stripper without wire.
